Terms
Last updated 25 September 2026
The plain-English terms for using Freehold Software’s apps and buying a plan. Freehold Software is run by Mark Horne, trading as Freehold Software.
Free editions
Where an app has a free edition, you may use it at no charge within the limits shown on its page. Each download includes a licence file setting out exactly what you may do with it; that file forms part of these terms.
Paid plans
Plans bought on this website are paid through Stripe, which acts as the seller of record through its Managed Payments service and adds the right VAT or sales tax for your country at checkout. Plans bought inside an Android app are sold by Google Play. A plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Your download link and licence are emailed within one working day of paying.
Refunds
If a paid plan does not do what its page says, email [email protected] within 14 days of paying and we will put it right or refund you. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Your data
Our apps run on your own device, computer or server, so the data you put into them stays with you. You are responsible for keeping your own backups, and for using the apps lawfully — for example, for having a lawful basis to email the people you contact with an outreach tool.
Warranty and liability
We build the apps carefully, and each page lists what the app does not do. Beyond that, the apps are provided as they are, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for more than you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. If a change affects a plan you pay for, we will email you before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of Scotland.
