The problem
“Which glasses suit my face?” is the question every eyewear shopper asks and almost no eyewear site answers. So people guess, order three pairs and send two back.
What it does
Specfit measures four proportions from one front-facing photo — face length, cheekbone width, jaw width and forehead width — sorts your face into one of six shapes, and shows the frame styles that flatter it, with the reason each one works. The measured lines are drawn back over your photo, so the advice reads as a measurement rather than a horoscope.
Made for: Glasses shoppers, and the opticians and eyewear shops who want it on their own site.

Good to know
Stated plainly, so nobody signs up for the wrong thing.
- It recommends frame styles, not specific products. There is no catalogue.
- There is no virtual try-on. The photo is measured, not decorated.
- It is a styling guide, not an optical measurement. It does not measure pupillary distance or anything used in a prescription.
What you need
- A current Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox
- A camera, or a photo to upload
- Business: Node.js 20 or newer and any Node host
Questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The model is downloaded to your browser and the photo is analysed there. There is no upload and no storage.
How accurate is it?
It measures real proportions from a face mesh, then applies the kind of rules opticians and stylists use by eye. Treat it as a styling guide, not a prescription.
